SCG Chemicals’ s petrochemicals business have expanded continuously since 2010 in both domestic and overseas, alongside with the implementation of the PSM to across organization to prevent process safety incidents that involve the use of high hazardous materials. Therefore, our thousands of employee who handle this high hazardous facilities must have PSM knowledge and skills in managing plant operation safely as very important for business, Effective learning process is considered and developed to leverage capabilities of staffs more knowledgeable and skillful in managing the risks in operations. The new learning process is developed with consist of 5 key change concepts ;

  1. Systematic approach as Learning management system (LMS)

  2. Competency based by Job role and work standards

  3. Learning solution is 10:20:70 which is a blend of learning in classroom training, experience training and learn from others

  4. One learning management system

  5. Change from Push Learning to Pull Learning , employee seek more learning by themselves then responsibility of their own learning will be increased.

By transformation of this learning process , we believe that knowledge and skill of employee will be increased and realized in plant operation control safely without depending on an any experienced staff. Moreover, other benefit is that our PSM technical know-how will be maintained and sustained within organization.
