2. Invited Speaker Jessica Nichols, Associate Research Scientist, Reactive Chemicals Analytical Science, Core R&D, The Dow Chemical Company
   • Presentation Title: A Perspective on Process Safety Challenges in the Fine Chemical Industry
   • In this presentation, we will discuss the dynamic and varied nature of the fine chemical industry and the importance of evolving Process Safety Management to keep pace with its unique challenges.
   • We will offer a perspective on how “fine chemicals” might be defined and how this industry is unique from other parts of the chemical industry.
   • We will have an open discussion on how the fine chemical industry intersects with the pharmaceutical industry, so we can plan for future PFFC sponsored projects.
   • We will review some challenges in the realm of fine chemical process safety and discuss ideas on how to develop our practice.
