Mr. Farese is currently the owner and operator of Durham Consulting LLC. A consulting company specializing in hydrogen systems. Prior to starting Durham Consulting Mr. Farese was an employee of Air Products from 1989 to 2023 and was the Technical Manager for Operations supporting the Hydrogen for Mobility and Advanced Systems teams. Responsibilities included providing technical oversight and direction to the Operations, Engineering and Commercial teams on the design, installation and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen equipment and hydrogen fueling stations.
Previously, Mr. Farese had worked as the Engineering Manager of the Hydrogen Energy Systems engineering group. This group supported new hydrogen technologies, particularly those for fueling vehicles. Primary responsibilities of the group include project management, product development, and operations support. These products included new means of production, compression, storage and dispensing of hydrogen at pressures up to 15000 psig.
Mr. Farese also participates in several Codes and Standards efforts and is a principal member of the NFPA 2 Technical Committee, an alternate member of the NFPA 55 Technical Committee, a member in several CGA committees, and a member of the Hydrogen Safety Panel. He holds over twenty patents in the areas of hydrogen fueling and high pressure compression.
