Nanotechnology: What is it? What are the opportunities?

Nanotechnology deals with the creation of materials, devices and systems through the manipulation of nanoscale matter, and takes advantage of novel and interesting properties that may arise. This is a broad technology that is expected to impact every aspect of the economic spectrum including electronics and computing, communications, health and medicine, energy, the environment, transportation, materials and manufacturing, and national security. This webinar, cosponsored by the Nanoscale Science Engineering Forum (NSEF), will provide an overview of nanotechnology, citing examples in several of the aforementioned sectors, and discuss nanotechnology opportunities for the chemical engineering community.
