You understand engineering – do you understand humans? Humans are involved in the design, operation, maintenance and management of the facilities in which we work. With this comprehensive involvement, human factors are often cited as a cause of incidents. Understanding human factors and helping humans to “get it right” can support great process safety performance. This course will provide students with an introduction to human factors, increase their knowledge of human factors topics and describe selected human factors tools through the use of case studies and examples.
Cheryl gained 37 years of technical and leadership experience in the oil and gas industry in the areas of hazard and risk management, fire protection engineering, and management of process safety.
