11th Global Congress on Process Safety

April 26-29, 2015

From its initial meeting in 2005, the Global Congress on Process Safety has grown into the world's largest gathering practitioners from industry, regulatory bodies and academia. Presented by the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and the AIChE Safety & Health Division, this annual event now draws attendees from around the globe.



Regional Perspectives on Process Safety

Regional Perspective on Process Safety (RPPS) is consists of sessions that strives to provide a space for different regions around the world to get together at the Global Congress and discuss the issues that are significantly impacting the development in Process Safety in their regions, considering the particular needs of language, and cultural characteristics of each one.

Process Safety Spotlights Track

Communicating Technical Concepts – The session chairs are interested in papers and presentations that describe approaches or programs designed to help facilitate the communication of technical engineering concepts and/or EHS related topics to internal and external non-technical stake holders (e.g. management, employees, regulators, education, and or public forms).

Al Sacco

Professor Sacco received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University; and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT. He was appointed and served as the George A. Snell Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University from 1997-2010 when he became the Dean of the Whitacre College of Engineering in 2011.  From 1978-1997 he was a tenured professor at WPI and was Department Head from 1989-1997. Marvin O. Wesley E. Lohec

Wesley E. (Wes) Lohec, 55, is vice president, Health, Environment and Safety, for Chevron Corporation, a position he has held since 2011. He is responsible for leading Health, Envi-
