Visions of the Future from Industry Leaders - Session One

Our capacity to understand the key trends that will shape the future of chemical engineering will determine how we need to prepare ourselves personally and professionally. Input from industry leaders on their views of the many factors and drivers for future change can give us valuable insights as to training, education, and career development opportunities that allow us to meet the future head-on. Business trends such as globalization, sustainability, and changing business models combined with key mega trends such as energy, water, infrastructure, transportation, and health/nutrition will greatly impact the roles of chemical engineers.

In this webinar, Hank Kohlbrand discusses how these trends will impact us, as well as looking at the role that science and technology will play in these changes. He also addresses future skills needed for success, the needs of large employers in the future, and how we, as chemical engineers, can use our abilities to benefit the world.

This is the first in a series of AIChE Leadership Webinars. Periodically we will feature different industry leaders who will discuss their perspective on these issues.
