Project Confluence: A New Platform for Community-Based Engineering and Science

SPEAKER
Darshan Karwat
Arizona State University

Presentation Abstract

How can we build more collaborations between communities affected by environmental, climate, and energy challenges, and engineers and scientists who might have perspectives and skills relevant to those challenges? How can efforts to address, say, water pollution or energy resilience challenges in one community be shared with other communities facing similar challenges? Project Confluence is a set of efforts aligned to answering these questions. In this presentation, Darshan will discuss the brand new Project Confluence matchmaking platform, and how it can help build a vibrant community of collaborators and expand opportunities for engineers and scientists to do community-based work.
