This webinar provides an overview of the basic concepts of Heat Transfer illustrating the key topics with practical examples in the areas of energy conservation, conduction, convection and radiation.

After an overview of the basic concepts including the mechanisms of heat transfer and the equations governing this transport process, the webinar illustrates with practical examples some methods of application that can be adapted for use in a variety of industrial and academic applications.


David Foster

Dave Foster obtained his B.S. in Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1988 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 1999.

He spent over 30 years as industrial scientist/engineer at Eastman Kodak Company, while also teaching fundamental transport phenomena courses at the undergraduate and graduate level at the University of Rochester for the past 14 years.

He received the Engineering Professor of the Year Award for teaching excellence in 2007 and 2012.
