Modular chemical process intensification (MCPI) has the potential to provide competitive advantage through reductions in capital and operating costs.  MCPI is just beginning to be leveraged in specialty chemical markets and those firms who are the first to market will hold competitive advantage in the marketplace.

This 60-minute webinar will introduce you to methods for identifying process intensification opportunities and for overcoming barriers to implementing novel intensified components and modules.  Examples will illustrate characteristic time scale analysis, estimating the cost of intensified components, implementation of intensified modules and business case analysis for MCPI.

Matthew Y. Coblyn is a research associate for the School of Chemical, Biological, & Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University. His research focuses on microscale-based chemical process development, with expertise in characterization of microfluidic systems and design and fabrication of microscale lamina plate technology.

Brian Paul

Brian K.
