Modeling Corrosion and Corrosion Protection

- Type: Archived Webinar
- Level: Intermediate
- Duration: 1 hour
This webinar will discuss some of the benefits of corrosion modeling and what kind of simulations can be performed. By doing simulations, you can gain an understanding of the physical system, which helps you save time and avoid costly redesign procedures after installation. COMSOL Multiphysics® is a versatile software capable of both making simplified assessments as well as including detailed models of physics, chemistry, and electrochemistry in your simulation. The presentation will start with a brief introduction to corrosion simulations and how the theory can be applied to a simulation in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. Examples of models within corrosion and corrosion protection will also be covered.
COMSOL has written a white paper on this topic and can be viewed here.
What You’ll Learn:
- Benefits of modeling corrosion and corrosion protection
- Basics of corrosion modeling in COMSOL Multiphysics®
- How COMSOL Multiphysics® can be applied to a wide variety of real-world examples
