It covers how various types of costs are calculated and accounted for in the key financial statements that corporations are required to publish every quarter. The key financial metrics tracked by investors are defined and the impact of technical (engineering) decisions on these metrics are demonstrated.
Factors critical to maximizing shareholder value are introduced and it is shown how engineers and scientists can help in achieving corporate goals and in turn advance in their careers. He has extensive experience in R&D and manufacture of specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals and medical devices and has led a broad range of activities from concept identification through product development to launch and supply.
