The word “evergeen” is defined as relating to or denoting a plant that retains green leaves throughout the year or something that is timeless. OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.119 Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals promulgated the requirement that operators (refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants) maintain accurate and current process safety information (PSI).
One of the key elements under Process Safety Information is relief system design and design basis. Historically, keeping up with the relief systems design documentation (i.e. keeping it evergreen) has been a challenge for operators since it involves multiple disciplines, tools, training, knowledge and expertise. However, continued incidents and large capital investments have elevated the importance of keeping the relief systems design and design basis current and accurate.
In this webinar, we will discuss elements of a good relief systems documentation evergreening program to help your facility operate more safely and reduce costs.
