Development of a Commercially Viable Algae Biofuels Process

This presentation provides an overview of a process to produce algae bio-crude from algae grown in open ponds using non-potable water and non-arable soil. It  identifies the advantages of algae as a feedstock to biofuels, the technical challenges associated with algae production and conversion, and the technical progress of one of the leading algae biofuels companies, Sapphire Energy.

Those who would benefit from listening include process engineers, R&D engineers, professors in sustainability and bioprocessing.
