Michael P Broadribb has 41 years operations, technical and HSE experience, covering worldwide refineries, marine terminals, and onshore / offshore oil & gas production facilities. He received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wales, UC Swansea. He is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.), fellow of Institution of Chemical Engineers (FIChemE) and fellow of Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS). His present position is Senior Principal Consultant for BakerRisk in San Antonio, TX. He was an expert witness at the 1989 Piper Alpha Public Inquiry, Aberdeen, Scotland. He is a principal author of CCPS “Guidelines for Investigating Chemical Process Incidents” book. He is also lead investigator and author of BP investigation report of the 2005 Texas City Isomerisation Unit explosion.
