The Scale-Up Series benchtop dual-reactor stand allows for the simultaneous use of two reactors. It permits scale-up of projects, from 100 mL to 6,000 mL, and is available for jacketed, nonjacketed, filter, and pressure-reactor systems. Screw Extruder Processes Viscous Materials and Eliminates Clogging
This screw extrusion device for use with the company’s Rototherm evaporators and dryers eliminates the potential for material clogging at the outlet of the machine. The extruder is especially effective for use with materials that become sticky, viscous, tarry, or crust-forming as they are concentrated or dried. The optional outlet device, which has its own variable-speed motor, fits into the bottom outlet of the evaporator or dryer. As the concentrated material reaches the discharge zone, rotor blades push the material directly into the screws, where it is extruded, creating a vacuum seal at the outlet of the screw for continuous product flow.

Tank Cleaner Operates in Harsh Conditions
The TankJet 78 tank cleaner cleans tanks up to 45 ft in diameter, withstands harsh chemicals, and can operate while fully submerged. Solid-stream nozzles rotate on multiple axes to provide 360-deg. coverage. A fluid-driven turbine indexes the nozzle with each rotation, providing a slow, rotating movement with sufficient dwell time on the tank surface to ensure cleaning. A thread-free, crevice-free self-cleaning design allows disassembly in minutes for easy maintenance. The unit is suited for clean-in-place applications and meets 3-A Sanitary Standards 78-01 requirements for spray cleaning devices intended to remain in place. Control Valve Actuator Delivers High Accuracy and Connectivity
The Research Control Valve Smart Electric Valve Actuator (SEVA) delivers position accuracy of ±1% of full scale. It is ethernet/industrial protocol (IP) compatible and Open Device Net Vendors Association (ODVA)-certified. The initial release includes 100-lb and 200-lb thrust models. A microprocessor-controlled linear stepper motor responds to various control inputs. Other features include manual override, over-voltage protection, and optional isolated loop-powered position output for signaling back to an indicator or control panel.
Ultrasonic Flowmeter Measures Low Flowrates with High Precision
The ES-Flow ultrasonic flowmeter uses ultrasound in a small-bore tube to measure liquid flows of 4–500 mL/min with high precision, high linearity, and low pressure drop. Liquids can be measured independent of fluid density, temperature, and viscosity. Orbital tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding allows hygienic connections; for non-hygienic applications, the device can be equipped with compression fittings. Wetted parts are manufactured of stainless steel and the exterior is rated to ingress protection (IP) 67 of the International Electro-technical Commission (IEC). A capacitive touchscreen with a thin-film transistor (TFT) display allows the user to operate the instrument, and an onboard proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller enables the user to establish a complete, compact control loop.

Linkage Improves Reliability of Two-Way Diverter Valve Disc Positioning
This spring-loaded linkage to the SK two-way diverter valve switches material flow in pneumatic conveying lines and reliably positions diverter valve discs. The linkage replaces the previous method of using limit switches to position the disc, and provides a mechanical stop to seat the disc accurately in the valve. It includes a new lever design with adjustable stops that position the disc over each seat, a spring-loaded linkage that absorbs the impact at each position, proximity switches, and a mounting plate and tripper that signal the brake motor to stop. Also offered are new limit switches for positioning discs inside the gearbox and a crank arm for the gear motor.
Nonmetallic Enclosures Resist Chemicals and UV Damage
The Stahlin Expanded J Series non-metallic enclosures meet ingress protection (IP) requirements as well as resist damage from exposure to chemicals and ultraviolet (UV) light. The enclosures are available with dimensions of 20×20 in., 24×20 in., and 24×24 in., all with hinged lockable pull latches and three-point latches. The enclosures are Underwriters Laboratories (UL)-listed E64358 for National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 designations and are UL-listed E362920 for International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) IP 66. They are manufactured of a chemical-resistant fiberglass-reinforced composite nonhalogenated fiberglass that offers up to 60% more UV protection than other sheet molding compounding formulations while maintaining gloss, color, and UL94-5V flame resistance.

This storage solution safely stores ignitable liquids. One enclosure can hold up to 18 intermediate bulk container (IBC) totes stacked three high or a combination of totes and drums. Flame detectors activate a deluge system for responding to fires. Anti-Microbial Cooling Tower Protects Against Bacteria Risk
The Anti-Microbial cooling tower is constructed with microbial-resistant materials that resist the growth of Legionella pneumophila bacteria. The antimicrobial resin contains additives that function on a cellular level to continuously disrupt and prevent growth of microorganisms and biofilm in the cooling water. The additives are compounded into the resin before the tower’s components are molded. The tower shell is constructed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and the tower fill and drift eliminator are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polypropylene (PP). Many commercial solvents form azeotropes with water, which makes solvent recovery by conventional distillation difficult. The SolvSep zeolite membrane-based system removes water from azeotropic mixtures in a single-stage process. Vapor penetration of water through the zeolite membrane allows almost complete recovery of dry organic solvent at purity up to 99.9 wt%.
