Chem-E-Car Competition Rules

As part of AIChE's commitment to safety in industry and laboratory environments, student teams and their advisors will be asked to demonstrate a commitment to safety awareness, safety planning, and safe practices as a standard component of their participation.

All teams are required to carefully read and review all Chem-E-Car Competition® documents to fully understand the requirements to safely compete at an AIChE Chem-E-Car Competition.

Safety Training Course & Quiz

All participants in an AIChE Chem-E-Car Competition must take and pass the AIChE Chem-E-Car Safety Training Course with a minimum score of 80%.

2026 Student Regional Conference Chem-E-Car Competition Registration

Registration for the 2026 AIChE Student Regional Conference Chem-E-Car Competitions is open thru February 8, 2026.   All student chapters who plan to compete in Regional Competitions taking place in North America, Brazil, Latin America, India, and Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia must register here no later than February 8, 2026.
