ProVane pump

The ProVane pump has self-adjusting vanes to eliminate efficiency-robbing slip, thereby allowing it to maintain near-original output and consistency, even after significant wear. Available in both ductile iron and stainless steel, its heavy-duty rotor and low shaft-stiffness ratio, combined with its hydrodynamic bearing design, result in extended bearing life, improved efficiency and energy consumption, better volumetric performance, and longer life. Five sizes, ranging from 3/4-in.

CPK shell-and-tube heat exchangers

Made rugged for demanding day-to-day operations, CPK shell-and-tube heat exchangers have removable bundles to prevents fluid intermixing and allow for tube expansion. Applications include heating and cooling electrolytes, boiler blowdown, intercoolers and aftercoolers. These heat exchangers are available with a variety of options, including a materials of construction, components and nozzle orientations.

Twisted Tube heat exchanger

Marketed as an alternative to conventional shell-and-tube designs, the Twisted Tube heat exchanger is recommended for applications that require increased heat transfer with either fewer shells or a smaller exchanger. Key to the its design are helix-shaped tubes arranged in a triangular pattern, which eliminates the need for baffles. In lieu of baffles,  each tube is supported by adjacent tubes, while fluid swirls freely along its length.

Miniature tube-in-tube heat exchangers

These tube-in-tube sample-cooler heat exchangers are geared for applications involving high pressure, low flow and high differential temperatures. All models are made of Type 316L stainless steel with seamless tubes, and feature all-welded construction. Three standard models range in sizes from 0.50-in. to 1.00-in. outer tube dia., and from 0.25-in. to 0.50-in. inner tube diameters.

AlfaNova plate heat exchanger

The AlfaNova plate heat exchanger is offered as an alternative to brazed plate exchangers.Typical applications. include refrigeration systems that use ammonia refrigerants or other cooling media that is corrosive to copper, district heating systems that use corrosive water, tap water systems and sanitary applications. Made of stainless steel, this heat exchanger is constructed using a bond technique that ensures the durability to withstand industrial processes that require extreme pressures and temperatures.

No. 825 walk-in electric oven

The No. 825 walk-in electric oven operates at up to 500ºF and can cure latex in the laboratory, eliminating the need to send it off-site. Inner workspace dimensions measure 54 in. wide × 72 in. deep × 72 in. high. Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements house 30 kW of power, and a 6,000 ft3/min, 5 HP recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow across the workload. Construction features include 4-in.-thick insulated walls, a 2-in.

Sta-Kool Type 316L stainless steel cooling element

The Sta-Kool Type 316L stainless steel cooling element protects pressure gages from large variations in temperature and pulsation. Its maximum operating temperature is 750ºF (400ºC) and maximum operating pressure is 5,000 psi at 100ºF. In tests, it has been able to reduce 400ºF (204ºC) liquid process temperatures to 100ºF (38ºC) at the active portion of a Bourdon tube. The Sta-Kool can be either threaded or welded (the latter would eliminate a potential leak path) to any pressure gage with a 0.5-in NPT male connection made of a compatible material.

Small-Scale Filter Dryer

Suitable for multi-product kilo facilities, this lab-scale system has a 0.05 m2 filtration area, a 15-L liquid capacity, and typically 2–8-L wet cake capcity. Designed to handle batch sizes of 1–5 kg, the compact system can be easily moved and receive slurry liquid from multiple reactors. It achieves product containment with a top-mounted 100 mm split valve for vessel charging. Integrated into the frame, a tilting mechanism allows complete inversion of the vessel for contained powder discharge via the same split valve.

Paratherm CR cryogenic heat-transfer fluid

A replacement for silicone and d-limonene, Paratherm CR cryogenic heat-transfer fluid has an extremely low freeze point (below –120°C). The fluid's low 10-cP viscosity at –88°C (20 cP at –96°C) enables significant efficiency gains at lower temperatures. And unlike silicone-based fluids, the CR fluid poses no containment or cleanup issues. Typical applications for Paratherm CR  include fine-chemical processes, pharmaceutical active-ingredient production, secondary coolant systems, continuous process applications, lyophilizers and environmental test chambers.

stainless steel tubing

This fabricator of feedwater heater tubes for heat exchangers offers welded and cold-drawn, or welded and bead-conditioned austenitic stainless-steel tubing. Each tube meets customer-specified quality and performance standards. Welded and drawn tubing products are available in wide range of custom sizes and chemistries.
