I am so excited to see what happens at the new 2026 AIChE G.E.A.R. conference, which will bring together an outstanding assembly of scientists, engineers, and business leaders to discuss the future of Gene Editing and RNA technologies. I am convinced that we have only scratched the surface of what is possible with RNA technology. I look forward to meeting you in person in Merck's beautiful Boston auditorium in September!

I’m most looking forward to the scientific discussions that connect gene editing modality design with the practical constraints of in vivo delivery—biodistribution, cell-type specificity, and durability. Bringing together cross-disciplinary perspectives will help evaluate emerging approaches and identify what will truly move the field forward.
