Model 5100-NCM gas analyzer

The Model 5100-NCM (for Non-Contact Moisture) gas analyzer uses tunable-diode laser absorption-spectroscopy technology to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) and moisture/methane (CH4) in natural gas and hydrocarbon streams. Its limit of detection is in the low-ppm range. It has fully enclosed optics and sample conditioning, onboard moisture verification, and all-digital signal processing. This rugged, compact unit is available in an IP-65 and NEMA 4 enclosure with both Modbus and Ethernet analog and digital connectivity.

Relio 9 reduced instruction set computer

The Relio 9 reduced instruction set computer (RISC) has a 32-bit Advanced RISC Machines (ARM) instruction set and is available with up to 256 MB RAM and 256 MB flash memory. Standard input/output (I/O) interfaces include Ethernet, serial, USB, CAN bus, digital, and analog. For local or remote I/O expansion, it connects to the manufacturer’s Sea I/O modules via a dedicated RS-485 expansion port and communicates via an RS-485 Modbus remote terminal unit (RTU). It is housed in a small, rugged enclosure that is suitable for mounting almost anywhere.

Multi-pair Foundation fieldbus M-EZ cables

Multi-pair Foundation fieldbus M-EZ (Marshaling EZ) cables are FF-844 certified by the Fieldbus Foundation. The cables are part of the DataCELL Foundation line and are engineered with up to 24 individually foil-shielded pairs, with an extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) binder over each pair, all in a single cable. Installation is quick and easy, and requires no shrink tubing. The line also features single-pair cables. Both types of cable are available with an optional ground wire. The cables’ characteristic impedance Z0 is controlled to be 100 O ±10 O at 31.25 kHz.

Digital E3 Modulevel liquid-level displacer transmitter

The Digital E3 Modulevel liquid-level displacer transmitter is an intrinsically safe two-wire instrument that uses the principle of buoyancy to detect and convert changes in liquid level into a stable output signal. The linkage between the level-sensing element and the output electronics has a simple mechanical design and construction. The transmitter’s vertical inline design makes the instrument lightweight and simplifies installation. It is available in a variety of configurations and pressure ratings.

Wave TTA module

The Wave TTA module functions as a signal isolator, transmitter, converter, linearizer, and trip amplifier. It accepts all common types of analog direct current (DC) inputs, such as temperature and frequency. All output types (e.g.,bipolar) can be set on this 45-mm-wide unit. Input/output configuration changes may be performed on a PC with free, downloadable software. The module can be mounted in any location using almost any power supply. Its –40°F to 158°F operating temperature range allows mounting in either a factory or field enclosure.

Platinum Bullet oxidation-reduction potential sensor

The Platinum Bullet oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) sensor uses patented axial ion path (AIP) technology to withstand harsh environments. It is available in a variety of models for inline, hot-tap, or quick-change fittings, and operates at temperatures up to 140°C and pressures exceeding 3,000 psi.

P420 Series plastic, vortex-shedding flowrate transmitters

P420 Series plastic, vortex-shedding flowrate transmitters have no moving parts that can stick, bind, or become coated. They can handle fluids with viscosities to 4.5 cP or 50 SUS. In certain models, wetted parts are constructed entirely of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or chlorinated PVC (CPVC) for improved heat resistance.

Instrumentation Fittings

These double-ferrule instrumentation-grade tube fittings provide leakproof and torque-free seals at tubing connections. This reduces the likelihood of hazardous and expensive leaks in instrumentation, process, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas and other tubing systems. The solid leak-free joint is formed as a five-piece connection comprised of the nut, the back ferrule, the front ferrule, the body and the tubing. The ferrules are tightly swaged around the tube, and the lack of initial strain on the tubing ensures against tubing wall damage.

Wafer-Cone flowmeter

The Wafer-Cone flowmeter features a modular design that allows users to replace the flow element in order to adapt the device to changing flow conditions in dynamic processes. It uses differential pressure technology with built-in flow conditioning to achieve an accuracy of ±0.5% and a repeatability of ±0.1%. The pressure difference between the static line pressure and the low pressure downstream at the cone is measured via two pressure-sensing taps, and is then used with a derivation of the Bernoulli equation to calculate the fluid flowrate.

P420 series vortex-shedding flowmeters

P420 series vortex-shedding flowmeters are inexpensive, nonmechanical flowrate transmitters with no moving parts that can stick, bind or become coated when processing corrosive fluids. They meet the requirements of the chemical, water treatment and water desalination industries, and are suitable for corrosives, water, brine and low-viscosity-fluid applications. The instruments feature wetted parts constructed entirely of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
