Sarah Bloch is Associate Director of Research Strategy at Pivot Bio, an agtech company based in Silicon Valley pioneering a groundbreaking approach to crop nutrition. In this role, Sarah leads a comprehensive research team dedicated to engineering biological nitrogen fixation for cereal crops and developing a one-of-a-kind sustainable, clean nitrogen source for farmers across the globe. Her interest in sustainable technologies and expertise in engineering microbes for purpose grew out of her graduate work at the University of Minnesota. Sarah holds a PhD from the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics for her research on low-cost microbial production of valuable plant natural products.
