Mr. Kareem Afzal is the Vice President of PDC Machines, a company that provides engineered solutions for clean fuel refueling stations, gas producing, chemical and petrochemical companies worldwide. PDC Machines is the world’s leading provider of compression technology to the early market hydrogen energy and refueling market for fuel cell cars, buses, trucks, forklifts, trains and so on. PDC is a growing company achieving record revenue and unit sales year on year for the last 8 years. PDC is constantly innovating to mean and exceed the hydrogen industry’s needs- growing our product portfolio through direct product development investments and through partnerships. 

Kareem started his career as a design engineer, working on product and project design for industrial and specialty gas markets and at the time the early demonstration market of the hydrogen energy business. After 15 years in engineering, Kareem moved to the sales and business development part of the business and now leads the worldwide team. During his time as VP if Business Development, PDC started 3 offices overseas to enable direct to customer sales for PDC’s equipment.

We provide diaphragm gas compressors for Alternative Energy/Hydrogen refueling stations, Chemical and Petrochemical (CPI), Oil & Gas, Specialty Gas, Power Generation, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Food & Beverage, Research & Development, and General Industrial requirements worldwide. We work closely with our clients from the design phase to commissioning and beyond including unparalleled after sales support for our compressor installations worldwide.

Mr. Afzal is a board member at the Network of Victim Assistance, which supports, counsels and empowers victims of sexual assault and other serious crimes in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.  He also serves on the local board of the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey Untied Way for Montgomery County and is the vice chair of his family’s foundation the Afzal Family Foundation. He is a trustee at United Friends School in Quakertown. He is also a former Chairman of the Board of Manna on Main Street, an organization which is committed to ending hunger in the North Penn region of Philadelphia by providing food, fulfilling social service and education needs, and conducting community outreach. 

Mr. Afzal earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and lives in North Wales PA with his wife Nihad and 2 children Layla and Hakeem.
