Dr. Ranga Godavarti

Dr. Ranga Godavarti is currently a Vice President in the Bioprocess Research and Development group at Pfizer.  His group is responsible for the development, characterization, and technology transfer of upstream and downstream processes for large molecules (proteins and vaccines) in early and late stages of development. 

Prior to joining Pfizer (formerly Wyeth) in 1997, Ranga received his Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering Practice and a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has authored several publications and has been a co-inventor on multiple patents.  He has over 25 years of experience in Process Development covering a wide range of responsibilities.  

Ranga serves on the scientific advisory board of Keck Graduate Institute’s Amgen Bioprocessing Center. He is the recipient of the 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
