Katie Galloway, PhD, is an assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at MIT. Her lab focuses on developing integrated gene circuits and elucidating the systems-level principles that govern complex cellular behaviors. Ultimately she aims to leverage synthetic biology to transform how we understand cellular transitions and engineer cellular therapies. She received a BS from UC Berkeley and a PhD from Caltech, both in chemical engineering. She was postdoctoral fellow at USC Stem Cell and and she has won multiple awards including the NIH F32, Caltech’s Everhart Award, and ARCS Postdoctoral Fellow Award.
