David LeDuc, Executive Director, joined the Addario Lung Cancer Foundation in August of 2015, originally serving as the Senior Director of Strategic Alliances. In his role as Executive Director, David is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ALCF’s efforts with particular focus on strategic planning, operational excellence, fundraising, community outreach, staff development and allocation of resources.
David brings nearly 25 years of senior executive experience to the role and has a proven track record in strategic planning, innovative marketing, fundraising and raising public awareness for cancer and other causes. Prior to ALCF, he was Senior Director of Development at Free to Breathe and the former Chief Executive at the Wisconsin Foundation.
Beyond his professional experience, David has a strong personal passion for the mission having lost his father, two grandparents, and numerous friends to cancer. He has seen first-hand how patient education, access to care, and research advancements can positively impact lives. And it is that passion that drives his work today.
Regardless of his position, David strives to approach life with kindness, compassion, humility and a sense of humor. In his spare time, you’ll find David spending time with his wife and son as well as in outdoor pursuits, particularly biking.
