Britt Glaunsinger

Britt Glaunsinger is the UC Berkeley Class of 1963 Endowed Chair and Professor in the Departments of Plant and Microbial Biology and Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of California Berkeley, and an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She is a member of the California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3), the Innovative Genomics Institute and the Center for Emerging and Neglected Diseases and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology. Dr. Glaunsinger received her B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Arizona and her PhD in Molecular Virology at Baylor College of Medicine. Her lab is broadly interested in how viruses interface with and hijack cellular pathways that control gene expression.
