Marsh Single-Mag flowmeter

Capable of handling demanding water flow measurements, the Marsh Single-Mag flowmeter requires little maintenance and is easy to install and use. Equipped with a unique electromagnetic technology, the device serves in pressurized line applications from 2 in. to 96 in. It has a flow accuracy of ±2% of reading and operates over a wide flow range, from –5 to 20 ft/s. The Single-Mag provides a reliable 4–20-mA analog output signal for monitoring and alarming. The flowmeter can also measure pressures up to 250 psi and temperatures up to 160°F in stainless steel pipes.

NQL series of loop-powered instruments

The NQL series of loop-powered instruments is now 10CFR50-B-qualified (a Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirement for nuclear power plants). The NQL consists of eight models that accept 4–20 or 10–50-mA input and displays the process variable in digital or digital/bargraph mode. Both LCD and LED versions are available and some models come with RS232E I/O. The new series is intended for replacement (or new installations) of analog meters where only the two-signal wires are available (no power source). The LCD versions come with automatic tricolor backlight.

Triple Detector gel-permeation chromatography/size-exclusion chromatography (GPC/SEC) system

Designed for macromolecular characterization, the Triple Detector gel-permeation chromatography/size-exclusion chromatography (GPC/SEC) system features an integrated triple detector array (TDA) comprised of a unique low-angle light-scattering (LALS) detector, four capillary viscometer detectors; a GPCmax pump, autosampler and degasser module; and OmniSEC software for multiple detection analysis and complete system control.

Differential Pressure Sensors

A new low-range differential pressure (DP) sensor option has been added to this firm’s One Series electronic switch product line. With all stainless-steel wetted parts and welded diaphragms, this rugged DP sensor measures in low pressure ranges, including 0–5, 0–50, 0–100 and 0–200 psid. Sensor profiling and temperature compensation provide 0.5% accuracy, 0.1% repeatability and excellent media compatibility. Approvals include UL for Canada and the U.S. (cULus), as well as ATEX approvals for Europe.

Series I-2 immersion temperature assemblies

The Series I-2 immersion temperature assemblies are designed to lower installation costs associated with temperature monitoring of hot and chilled water, condensed water, or low-pressure steam applications. The assembly comes complete with a 6-in.-length Type 304 stainless steel probe and a polycarbonate enclosure. These units are designed to install directly and easily into a thermowell or 1/2-in. saddle fitting. Models are available with a Pt 100 ohm  RTD sensor or Pt1000 ohm RTD sensor for increased accuracy and reliability.

MT5200 level transmitter

The MT5200 level transmitter is designed for use in challenging bulk-solids applications. A concentric waveguide directs the radar beam, alleviating divergence problems and echoes in tanks with narrow openings. Unaffected by dust or feed flow, the MT5200 accurately measures materials with dielectric constants as low as 1.3 and bulk densities up to 50 lb/ft3. It can operate at temperatures and pressures up to 400°F and 1,500 psi.

Durex thermocouples

Designed for pollution control and process applications, Durex thermocouples can be protected from hostile environments with thermowells or with protection tubes constructed of stainless steel, nickel alloys, ceramic or silicon carbide. Various terminal housings may be used to provide compliance with all NEMA standards, including explosion-proof designs. In addition, these thermocouples are manufactured to meet all applicable ANSI and ASTM specifications. Head-mounted transmitters are available for 4–20-mA signal conversion. Temperature tolerances are standard or special limits-of-error.

M-7250-20 Microfluidizer processor

The M-7250-20 Microfluidizer processor is configured for cell disruption applications. Achieving product flowrates of up to 400 L/h, the processor comes equipped with a product feed pump and heat exchanger. The M-7250-20 is delivered with a standard PLC-based, password protected controls design that utilizes a human-machine interface (HMI). Process and data management is under the control of GE Fanuc Automation’s iFIX supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.

Boiler-Trak mass flowmeter

Designed for use in natural-gas-flow measurement applications, the Boiler-Trak mass flowmeter is easy to install or retrofit into existing piping. It provides the mass flowrate and totalized flow (200 ms response to changes in flowrate) of the natural gas burned. The versatile microprocessor-based transmitter integrates the functions of flow-range adjustment, meter validation and diagnostics in a probe-mounted NEMA 4X (IP65) housing. Mass flowrate and totalized flow, as well as other configuration variables, can be displayed on the meter’s optional 2 × 12 backlit LCD panel.

AquaCounter EV-2000L oil evaporator

 The AquaCounter EV-2000L oil evaporator utilizes azeotropic distillation and completely separates water from sample matrices, thus eliminating any side reactions with interfering substances. The unit is especially useful for determining moisture in difficult samples such as heavy oils, grease, peanut butter, etc. The EV-2000L’s heating range is from ambient temperature to 200°C. Carrier gas is N2 gas or dry air and flow is 30–300 mL/min with inlet pressure at 0.8 MPa or less. The dessicant used is a molecular sieve and the unit has an aluminum block heater.
