Converting CO2 into useful products?? What's up with that??

Many start-up companies are getting funded to convert carbon dioxide into useful products such as chemicals and food using renewable electricity. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in these endeavors. Will these coming breakthroughs make our lives better or is it greenwashing? Or worse? We will take a holistic look at these technologies from first principles to see if these would reduce carbon dioxide on the net. We will also explore if there are better and more efficient uses for that renewable electricity. This will better inform entrepreneurs and investors alike where to invest time and money.

Presented by Sudhir Joshi

Sudhir teaches Product Development in the Chemical Engineering Department at University of California Berkeley. He is an advisor to many start-up companies. He has 30 years of experience in product and process development in multiple industries.
