Session Description

Process control and automation technologies provide benefits by increasing plant efficiency through energy savings, increased throughput, and operator effectiveness. New developments in online sensors, computer architectures, data analytics including AI, final control elements, and user interfaces increase our abilities to implement and maintain optimal control of process units. Process safety and the associated control implications are included in this evolution and remain the priority for all control improvement projects. In this session we will feature papers discussing this evolution and current industry practice.
