Abstract:

What are some current process safety incidents and similarities to incidents that led to the Process Safety Management (PSM) standard formation? What avenues exist for learning from experiences/industrial accidents, improving the Process Safety and Risk Management discipline, and how can we continue to evolve outreach?

In this presentation, Wesley Carter, CCPSC, will discuss process safety incidents (current and past) and how they informed the current OSHA PSM and EPA RMP requirements. Next, he’ll discuss how we share lessons in industry, programs and resources that assist in education, and how sharing good process safety is evolving in the digital age.
