Charles Swofford

Charles Swofford obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and currently works as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Sinskey Lab at MIT. His thesis work involved designing a targeted bacterial drug delivery vector for the treatment of cancer and metastasis using novel genetic circuits, which has been highlighted in the news outlet “The Conversation” and blogged about in “IFLScience!”.  Currently, his research involves creating a single integrated platform that can address food and water contaminants in a low cost, widely deployable nanosensor...Read more

Christopher Muhich

Christopher Muhich is an assistant professor of chemical engineering in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan before completing a doctorate at the University of Colorado at Boulder, under the supervision of Al Weimer and Charles Musgrave. After graduate school, he did postdoctoral work in the Aldo Steinfeld group at ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).
