Sani-Tech STHT-C Lasermarked Tubing

Sani-Tech STHT-C lasermarked tubing features a permanent marking that provides better traceability without the risk of extractables or code removal. Standard marking includes the part number and lot code; custom markings are available upon request. The platinum-cured, ultra-pure tubing is fully characterized, validated and tested to a variety of specifications, including USP Class VI, ISO 10993, and European Pharmacopoeia 3.1.9.

Poly-Flo Double-Containment Piping

Easy to Install Constructed of polypropylene and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), Poly-Flo double-containment piping features a unitary extruded design. Patented double O-ring flanges allow the piping to be pre-assembled and then easily bolted into place in the field. Available sizes include 1 × 2, 2 × 3 and 4 × 6 in., and a complete line of molded fittings, as well as special-order fabricated fittings for drainage or pressure applications, is available.

Schedule 80 PolyVinyl Chloride (PVC) and Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) Pressure Piping

This line of Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) pressure piping has been expanded to include 20-ft lengths of largediameter — 10-in. and 12-in. pipe. Fittings are supplied in a combination of fabricated and molded styles that include a wide range of couplings, bends, wyes, pipe increasers, reducing wyes, expansion joints, brass inert fittings and saddles. The PVC and CPVC systems are resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohols and other corrosives, and they will not rust, scale or pit. The PVC has a temperature rating up to 140°F, the CPVC to 210°F.

PumpSil, a Platinum-Cured Silicone Tubing with an Ultra-Smooth Bore

PumpSil, a platinum-cured silicone tubing with an ultra-smooth bore to control protein binding and bacterial growth, is postcured to minimize leachables and extractables. To ensure absolute traceability, it can be laser-marked end-to-end with part and lot numbers and use-by date. A 100% indelible fine etch is produced on the surface of the tube, preventing contamination from inks and other materials. PumpSil meets USP Class VI, ISO 10993 and USDA requirements, and is available in standard and custom sizes from 50-ft boxes to 500-ft spools, with custom-molded assemblies and manifolds.

UV/EB Technology for What’s Next

“UV/EB Technology for What’s Next” is a 6-page catalog offering technical details on 23 new oligomers and three new monomers for ultraviolet/electron beam (UV/EB) technology applications. It features a comprehensive matrix with detailed technical data, including performance features like functionality, color, viscosity, density, refractive index, elongation, glass transition temperature (Tg), and more, to help formulators select the proper additive. The guide also includes synopses of seven technical presentations given at the UV&EB Technology Expo and Conference held in April 2006.

pinch diverter valves

These pinch diverter valves are built for obstruction-free flow of dry materials conveyed under pressure in dilute, semi-dense and dense-phase pneumatic systems. They can direct material to two different destinations or be set up to combine material flows from two different sources. Each valve can be adapted for its application and configured to a specific angle of divergence or convergence. They handle pressures up to 85 psig and may be furnished with flanged, plain or grooved pipe connections with integral pressure switches that indicate flow direction.

Closures and Stoppers

These closures and stoppers ensure aseptic fluid transfer, sealing, filling and sampling for containers used in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing. Manufactured from a platinum-cured silicone that is free of animal-derived ingredients, the closures meet USP (United States Pharmacopeial) Class VI and FDA standards — i.e., they are biologically safe and suitable for use in pharmaceutical, biomedical and laboratory environments.

Type 316 stainless steel collars and couplings

These Type 316 stainless steel collars and couplings are suitable for use in mixing equipment, drive systems, conveyors, and other machinery exposed to harsh chemicals, solvents and detergents. They feature one- and two-piece clamp-type and set-screw styles, and are offered with 18–8 stainless steel or Type 316 stainless steel fasteners. Collars available range in size from 0.25 in. to 10.0 in. i.d., and can be supplied with round, square or hexagonal bores — either smooth or threaded. Couplings come in sizes from 0.25 in. to 3 in. i.d. with straight and stepped bores and keyways.

FloMaster bin discharger

The FloMaster is a compact, totally enclosed, circular bin discharger that helps hoppers and silos process materials that are hard to control. Its rotating arch-breaker arm travels around the bottom of the hopper or silo to break any bridges of material that may have formed, ensuring material flow from the discharger to any of the manufac- turer’s single-stage or multi-stage units. The FloMaster is made of mild steel and can handle many different kinds of materials, from cocoa to wood flour, at a rate of up to 200 ton/h. Its two standard bin sizes are 32 in. and 40 in. dia.

HYFLO hydrofoil impellers

HYFLO hydrofoil impellers can be used to upgrade a mixer or agitator to provide a very high flow-to-power ratio. They can provide twice as much flow as a 45-deg. pitched-blade impeller for the same amount of power, or provide equal flow for half the power. They have an efficient, stable 4-blade design that features tapered blades with a narrow, low-pitched section at the tip where the speed is fastest and a wider, higher-pitched section near the hub where it is slower. Models range in size from 3 in. to 210 in.
