UltiKleen Excellar ER Filter

As the semiconductor industry moves to narrower linewidths, the demand heightens for filtration products that capture smaller fluid contaminants in the nanometer range. Among the nine new products launched by this filter maker are two that target single-wafer and batch-mode wet-chemical processing. The UltiKleen Excellar ER Filter is a 20-nm-rated, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane that offers superior non-dewetting in aqueous and high-viscosity chemical applications.

Graphlon GM 860

Graphlon GM 860 is tough, polymer/graphite-based, abrasion-resistant bushing material that prolongs the life of pump bushings and other critical-wear parts. It provides excellent abrasion resistance in harsh environments, and has been developed specifically for sump pumps and river water service pumps where abrasives are a problem. Traditional pump materials are prone to damage from highly abrasive suspensions, and traditional bushings, including bronzes and plastics, do not adequately handle run-dry situations.

Flange Free

A proprietary inorganic coating that facilitates the removal of gaskets from flanged joints, Flange Free is designed for use in high-temperature, critical-service applications. Gaskets treated with this material are easier to remove after extended use — in most cases, the effort takes seconds, not hours, and requires much less force than untreated gaskets. The coating is fused to the surface of the gasket material and does not contain chemicals that can cause gaskets to crack or otherwise degrade.

MasterSil 151 MED

MasterSil 151 MED is a medical-grade potting and encapsulation silicone that is formulated to withstand vibration, impact, shock and thermal cycling. This two-component material cures at room temperature (more quickly at elevated temperatures), with cure shrinkage less than 0.1%, a Shore A hardness of 45, and an elongation-at-break of 160%. It cures optically clear with a refractive index of 1.43, making it well-suited as a protective coating in optical and fiber-optic applications.

Honeywell SOLARC

Most uncoated photovoltaic (PV) panels lose about 4% of their potential power output due to surface light reflection. Honeywell SOLARC is a transparent coating material that improves light transmittance through the glass that covers PV panels, thus increasing the PV module’s efficiency and power output. This coating also significantly reduces glare from the glass, allowing the panels to better blend in with their surroundings. It is compatible with many coating processes, including spray, roller, curtain, slot-die and spin-on coating.

PUREX HS 45-RP

PUREX HS 45-RP is a high-performance black for mechanical rubber goods. It contains low polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) content, complying with Recommendation XXI of the Bundesinstitut f¸r Risikobewertung (Germany) and the ArrÍtÈ du 09.11.1994 (France) standards. It is similar to PUREX HS 45, with the -RP suffix signifying its reduced PAH content. It has a low specific surface area, giving it good processability, low die swelling, and high microwave absorption.

Thurmalox 260 TIC Series coatings

Thurmalox 260 TIC Series coatings change color at predetermined temperatures to provide a visual warning that an interior lining system has failed and indicate where corrective action is required. Changes occur at intervals from 25°F to 50°F, depending on formulation, and coatings are available in colors that change permanently at predetermined increasing temperatures, from 400°F to 650°F. These coatings are self-priming and comply with volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations, and are offered in yellow, blue, red, and violet.

Lexan ULG1003 112OQ solid polycarbonate (PC) sheets

Lexan ULG1003 112OQ solid polycarbonate (PC) sheets offer superior optical quality (OQ) and can be used on laminated or formed glazing aircraft canopies, motorcycle windscreens, vehicle windows, and other automotive and transportation applications. This high-performance material is lightweight with minimal ripple, distortion and optical defects. It is manufactured at facilities that meet ISO 9002 standard requirements. Special sheets, designated HLGA3 112OQ for scratch resistance and HLG5 112OQ for weathering performance, are available with a hard coating on one side.

Pharmaceutical-grade soda ash IPH

Pharmaceutical-grade soda ash IPH is suitable for the manufacture of effervescent formulations used as delivery systems for over-the-counter cold and flu remedies. The material is a white crystalline-powdered excipient. It is made in facilities that are in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), the ICH Q7A standard, and the U.S. Pharmacopeia 31st edition / National Formulary 26th edition standard.

Polymer system EP79

Polymer system EP79 is a silver-coated nickel-filled epoxy with extremely low electrical resistance. Curing at room temperature yields an epoxy with a volume resistivity of less than 0.04 ohm-cm. Higher temperatures result in more rapid curing, which forms strong bonds with high shear and peel strength, plus resistance to thermal cycling, mechanical shock and vibration. EP79 has a 1:1 mix ratio, and a temperature range of –452ºF to 275ºF. It is an alternative to silver-filled epoxy and is available in premixed and frozen syringes, as well as in jars and cans of various sizes
