Pressure Regulator Literature & Utility Programs

“Pressure Regulator Literature & Utility Programs” is an updatable CD that contains more than 1,000 pages of regulator information with details for specific products, including engineering data, specifications, features, application maps and quick selection guides. An Update Wizard keeps all new or revised pdf-formatted bulletins, instruction manuals, fliers, brochures, and schematics up to date with the latest information.

Design & Safety Handbook for Specialty Gas Delivery Systems

The new 4th edition of the “Design & Safety Handbook for Specialty Gas Delivery Systems” explains principles of operation and recommended safety and maintenance procedures for gas-handling equipment, including gas cabinets, pressure regulators, manifolds, flash arrestors, annunciators, and many other components. It provides guides for sizing of distribution lines and for determining compatibility of typical gases with common materials of construction.

ISO 9000

Companies considering implementing an ISO 9000 quality program can find useful tools and information at this firm’s website, houstonISO9000.com. A summary of the ISO certification process with a checklist, as well as commonly used forms and a Master Audit Questionnaire have been posted so companies can get an idea of what type of information is required before making a commitment. A complete file that covers everything from documents, records, nonconforming products, corrective actions, preventive actions and internal procedures can also be found at the site.

Better Way to Clean,

Entitled “Better Way to Clean,” this CD/video presentation provides information on cleaning tanks and vessels. It also includes product demonstrations and detailed product data on the company’s line of impingement cleaning machines and accessories.

How to Choose and Use Metal Detectors

“How to Choose and Use Metal Detectors” describes basic metal-detection principles, how metal detectors operate, rejection systems and record keeping. Various styles of metal detectors are covered, including horizontal aperture, vertical aperture, low-profile vertical aperture, liquid line, single surface, webbing, under-belt troughed, bridge and hand-held units. Also discussed are ways to maximize return on investment from the point of installation.

Temperature Measurement and Control

In addition to highlighting the firm’s capabilities in engineering, design and quality, this brochure provides detailed information on extensive temperature-control product lines, including thermocouples of all types, thermocouple wire, protection tubes, pyrometry supplies, chart recorders, recording chart paper and markers, hardness testing supplies, heat-treating accessories, instrumentation, and controls.

ST and GF series thermal-dispersion mass flowmeters

Flowrate or temperature readings from the firm’s ST and GF series thermal-dispersion mass flowmeters can be displayed remotely on the DM10, a loop-powered readout meter that can be inserted anywhere in the flowmeter’s 4–20-mA output loop. Measuring 3.15 in. high by 5.51 in. wide by 2.56 in. deep, the DM10 is scalable to ±1,999 digits and features oversized 1-in.-high characters for easy viewing.

DT1000 dual-temperature infrared thermometer

Non-contact hot and cold surface temperature measurements of a pinpointed target area, or direct-contact measurements using any K-type thermocouple probe having a mini-style plug give the DT1000 dual-temperature infrared thermometer its versatility. It has a broad temperature range of –60°C to 500°C (–76°F to 932°F), and an accuracy of ±2% of reading or ±2°C. For infrared measurements, a bright “laser dot” sighting system helps pinpoint the center of the exact area to be measured — a 2-in. circle can be measured from a distance of 22 in.

Steam & Fluid Control Designer’s Guide

The third edition of the “Steam & Fluid Control Designer’s Guide” has recently been published. It includes application and specification information on regulators, control valves, safety relief valves, condensate pumps, desuperheaters, steam traps, noise suppression products, strainers, check valves and pump protection equipment.

RESOLV-R 2 Model IST Series Solvent Reclaiming Systems

Manufacturers may be able to recover as much as 99.9% of their reusable solvent with the RESOLV-R 2 Model IST Series solvent reclaiming systems. The units are available in 2.6-, 4-, 6.6-, 11-, and 16-gal capacities for use either in normal locations or in Class I Div. I Group D explosionproof areas. They can be used with disposable nylon waste bags. A built-in forced-air fan handles condenser vapor cooling. Vacuum add-on units are available in either pneumatic or electronic versions to handle solvents with high boiling points.
