The RuptureSeal is a leak-stopping device that activates in approximately 20 sec. Available in four different sizes, it is compatible with over 40,000 substances and has an operating range of –16°F (–50°C) to 122°F (50°C), making it suitable for use in chemical and pharmaceutical facilities, oil and gas production, food processing, waste management, and other applications. When a leak occurs, the silicone pad of the device is compressed into the rupture and the handle is pulled back to mechanically fasten the seal in place. The device can protect for up to 10 hr until a permanent solution is implemented.
