The July issue of the AIChE Journal focuses on process systems engineering (PSE) and how it is playing a role in society’s shift to sustainable energy. The issue highlights sustainable energy research from PSE groups across the globe. Articles in the special issue fall into five areas:

  • renewable energy
  • chemical systems for demand-side management and energy storage
  • carbon capture
  • renewable feedstocks and processing paths
  • PSE methods for sustainable energy.
