This new line of heaters uses direct steam injection to rapidly and accurately heat water and water-based slurries in a variety of process applications, such as boiler feedwater preheating, heating fibrous slurries for pulp stock and biomass treatment, paper-starch processing, sanitization and tank cleaning, anaerobic treatment of organic waste, and others. By using all of the sensible and latent heat of steam to heat the fluid, these systems can provide heating equal to that of an indirect heat exchanger with 20–30% less energy consumption.

Gap Gages ensure that instrumentation tube fittings are sufficiently tightened. They are particularly useful for fittings in hard-to-reach locations and in systems where inadequate tightening could result in dangerous or expensive consequences. Once the instrumentation tube fitting has been installed, but prior to system pressurization, the Gap Gage is inserted between the fitting nut and the body hex. If the gage will not fit in at any point of the gap, the connection has been properly made up and no additional tightening is necessary.

The MP300 switch series has an attached floating actuator that provides simple, cost-effective liquid detection in industrial refrigeration and other process-control applications. The floating polypropylene ball is mounted on a stainless-steel level actuator to determine when a specific liquid level is reached. Once activated, the unit triggers a signal that can be used as an input to a programmable logic controller (PLC). The 2-in.-dia. ball has a working temperature up to 210ºF, and can withstand up to 250ºF for short periods.
