Vibratory Feeders

Heavy-duty electromagnetic vibratory feeders are easily installed and operated, requiring only wiring into existing alternating current (AC) lines without the use of a rectifier. They are equipped with the manufacturer’s Hi-Vi electro-permanent magnetic drives, which consume minimal power and have no need for routine maintenance. Feeder speed is regulated by varying the applied voltage in the compact variable solid-state controls. Control is stepless from 0 to 100% of capacity, with excellent linearity, and can be configured for automatic operation.

A300 checkweigher

The A300 is a value-priced checkweigher designed for small packaging lines, especially where space is limited. The unit can accommodate a variety of packages within 30 in. of line space and handle up to 165 packages per minute. Its stainless steel construction features an open design that allows cleaning and sanitizing for food processing applications. The checkweigher has a hermetically sealed load cell to ensure long-term accuracy and weighing performance. Its 5.7-in.

Signature Triple

The Signature Triple unit combines a computer-based platform with the manufacturer’s progressing cavity pumps. Its design is based on that of earlier triple-component paint machines, which was adapted to dispense triple-component reactive materials. It can be controlled from a remote location to accurately meter, mix and dispense three components simultaneously.

Light-Touch Vacuum System Components

Light-Touch Vacuum System Components feature soft, food-grade, bellows-style silicone cups and adjustable suspensions that gently pick up foil-wrapped products and pharmaceuticals and place them into boxes. Suitable for replacing mechanical grabbers in high-speed packaging systems, these components can operate with low vacuum requirements and provide the right amount of suction to lift the load without damaging it. The manufacturer offers adjustable and spring-loaded suspensions, a variety of fittings, and silicone cups in three sizes: 1.3 in. dia. by 1.8 in. high, 1.34 in.

AccuRate PureFeed AP-300 feeder

The AccuRate PureFeed AP-300 feeder offers simpler, shorter cleaning cycles and is capable of handling feedrates from 500 g/h to 150 kg/h. The unit is suitable for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic applications, including jet-milling, continuous blending, medical-grade plastics compounding, packaging, coating, and ingredient weighing.

AMESSeal gasketing systems

The AMESSeal line of form-in-place gasketing systems is designed to improve sealing performance and reduce costs in proton exchange membrane (PEM), direct methanol (DMFC), and phosphoric acid (PAFC) fuel cells. The systems function by automatically dispensing and bonding a thin bead of low-durometer elastomers directly onto metal, graphite, or polymer substrates. Compared with traditional die-cut or molded gaskets, this system reduces possible sources of leakage by 50%.

Tubular Drag Conveyor

This fully enclosed tubular drag conveyor with a chain-driven flight mechanism gently conveys friable and blended materials. Dust-free operation eliminates the potential for toxic or flammable spillage, odors, and airborne dust that create hazardous work areas. The enclosed design also protects the conveyed product from outside contamination. The system can be flexibly laid out to convey the product horizontally, vertically, or at any angle and around corners. The system can accommodate multiple inlets and outlets and has a large throughput capacity (up to 50 ft3/min).

Wide Ramps

This 30-ft ramp provides uninterrupted access to the top of tank trucks and hopper cars. Direct access from the rack to a vehicle’s loading hatch simplifies an operator’s work, making the rack easily serviceable. These extra-wide ramps are available in either a manual model or a hydraulically operated model that moves up and down for use with vehicles of different heights. All ramps have the manufacturer’s reinforced Surround-U-Rail technology to provide fall protection.

Flexible Screw Conveyor

This flexible screw conveyor uses a spiral screw powered by a direct-drive electric motor to move dry bulk solids at high throughput. Its design features fewer parts subject to wear, which reduces manufacturing costs and provides greater flexibility in adapting to new applications. Its only moving part is the spiral screw that rotates inside a sealed tube to move and homogenize material. Faster rotation of the spiral screw increases capacity, allowing the use of a smaller conveyor to handle larger loads, which saves on floor space and reduces equipment investment costs.

Bench-Scale System

The components of this bench-scale system are designed for the pretreatment of cellulosic biomass that is used as feedstock to produce ethanol and renewable chemicals. This equipment can process up to 11 kg/h of materials, and is a suitable replacement for batch steam guns commonly used by researchers in universities and technology-development companies. The system has a 5-cm-dia. screwfeeder and a reactor that measures 15 cm dia. by 1.4 m long. Its wetted pressure components are made of corrosion-resistant Alloy 825 and are capable of operating at 20 bar at up to 215_C.
