PGS300 Grater/Shredder

These graters/shredders are able to shred, grate or granulate solid, dry or moist materials. Typical applications include size reduction and granulation after high-shear mixing, rework of tablet press material, and material sizing after bed or tray drying. The PGS300 is the most powerful unit, with throughput rates between 1,000 and 4,000 kg/h. The units include easily interchangeable cylinders, 360-deg apertures for optimum product flow and a variety of cylinder mesh sizes to fit most applications.

Inline pneumatic batching system

This inline pneumatic batching system allows simultaneous weigh batching of major ingredients supplied in bulk bags and manual dumping of pre-weighed minor ingredients, and blending of the material, while a subsequent batch is accumulated. Each of the bulk bag dischargers is mounted on load cells, allowing loss-of-weight batching from either or both bulk bags.

PortoVeyor bulk bag unloaders

The self-contained PortoVeyor bulk bag unloaders keep plants productive when bulk truck or rail delivery is interrupted. The skid-mounted PortoVeyors are ruggedly built and can be customized with optional hoists and lifting frames to support and unload all sizes and styles of bulk bags without slippage or spills. They not only open bags and convey their contents, but they also clean up nuisance dust. Bulk bags empty into a receiving hopper, which is fitted with a motor-driven rotary valve that meters contents into the conveying lines.

Vortex Stainlesssteel Iris Valve

Available in both infi- nite-position and quick-lock models, the Vortex stainlesssteel iris valve may be configured to meet a variety of application requirements. These can include: Type 304 stainless steel body with Type 304 stainless material contact; Type 304 stainless steel body with Type 316L stainless material contact; and Type 316L body with Type 316L stainless material contact. The patent-pending valve is precisionmachined to ensure its components actuate smoothly and the flange connections match and seal properly. Sizes range from 4-in to 15-in. diameters.

Rotex Centrifugal Sifter

Designed to meet high-capacity sifting for bulk load-in/load-out and larger process applications, the Rotex Centrifugal Sifter can handle a wide variety of powders, granules, agglomerates and other free-flowing materials. Processed particles ranging in size from 1/4 in. to 44 µm (325 mesh) are scalped with ease. The combination of high centrifugal force and blade spreading action reduces binding problems, even when handling materials that tend to flake or agglomerate due to fat or moisture content.

Sanitary Ribbon Blenders

Designed for vacuum operations, these new Sanitary Ribbon Blenders are manufactured in Type 316-stainless steel and are polished to enable easy cleaning between batches. Agitators and shaft assemblies are designed and constructed with generous radii and smooth-weld finishes. Shaft-seal rings are readily accessible and easily removable to permit cleaning of all product zone surfaces. These blenders include special cover openings, ports for viewing, jackets for heating or cooling, complete control systems and more.

Pebco Mass Flow Feeder

Mass Flow Feeder The Pebco Mass Flow Feeder is a controllable high-capacity gravity feeder for relatively coarse granular materials. The feeder consists of a mass flow hopper with two movable sides that control the discharge rate. The flowrate is a function of the discharge opening width and the slope of the blades. The minimum flowrate is limited by the opening width at which the material arches across the opening. Turndown rates of 10 to 1 can normally be expected. The units generally handle flowrates from a single discharge point from 1,000 ton/h to 10,000 ton/h.

Vibroscreen Sanitary Batch Sifter

Meeting cGMP, 3-A, USDA and FDA standards, the Vibroscreen Sanitary Batch sifter can be disassembled without tools for rapid sanitizing. It is intended to scalp oversize particles as small as 38 µm (400 mesh) from dry bulk materials or solids-laden slurries. The screen frame’s interlocking flange fully envelops the support ring of the screen, eliminating the gap between the screen ring and frame wall. Screens are mounted to support rings using FDA-approved epoxy and sealed using FDA-approved gasket material, and can be provided with a mesh-tolerance certificate.

Half Frame Bulk Bag Unloader

The Half Frame Bulk Bag Unloader offers economical, total dust containment by eliminating the upper-frame components to lift and/or position the bag, instead relying on the user’s forklift or plant hoist to suspend the bag above the unit during operation. The bag-to-hopper interface consists of a Spout-Lock clamp ring positioned atop a pneumatically actuated Tele-Tube telescoping tube, allowing dust-tight connections and unrestricted flow between the bag spout and hopper, as well as automatic tensioning of the bag as it empties.

Flighted Lift

The Flighted Lift is an indexing lift designed for either vertical storage, or for buffering product during peak production times or when there is a surge during conveyance. Product is conveyed into the system as needed and is indexed and lifted with the flighted lifting mechanism, then discharged with the use of a pusher. While the system features a load point at the bottom of the lift, loading can be accomplished from any level by using a pusher. Single or multiple discharge points can be utilized in either a “C” or “Z” configuration.
