We are the Western South Carolina section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), a global professional community that seeks to provide its members with networking opportunities, technical resources and tools to manage their careers and lives.
Our section covers Greenville, Spartanburg, Clemson, Anderson and the surrounding areas of the South Carolina upstate. Our calendar is full of seminars, site visits, and social networking functions designed to aid our members' professional development in the chemical engineering field. Our region is home to many chemical production facilities as well as several local engineering firms including Fluor, Jacobs, and CH2M HILL. We also are supported by our local manufacturing businesses and have hosted speakers from Ortec Inc and Omega Chemicals, LLC in 2021.
Our organization is governed by the Western South Carolina Section of the AIChE Bylaws.
