With the software available to engineers today, it’s easier than ever to employ sophisticated statistical techniques to improve chemical process operations. This talk will give an overview of statistical design of experiments from a user’s perspective: limitations of using existing process data, the need for designed experiments, types of experimental designs, and some general examples.
