Speaker: Matt Reisdorf, Department Manager of Process Technology, Fluor
This is a unique, thought-provoking, and – yes - even entertaining discussion of how Engineer-ing Ethics is different than you may expect. Instead of obvious examples and a focus on values like objectivity, competence, and integrity, explore how the bedrock of ethics is really built on a different set of traits – mentoring, self-reflection, and especially teamwork. With a focus on today’s challenges facing chemical engineering, be prepared to view engineering ethics in a new way. This presentation covers the ethics continuing education topics required of many Professional Engineering boards.
Matt Reisdorf is Senior Director and Department Manager of Process Technology for Fluor.
A licensed Chemical Engineer, Matt has hands-on experience in process design in upstream, down-stream, and chemicals systems. He has led the design activities for both small conceptual studies and large megaprojects. He currently manages one of the largest departments of Chemical Engineers in the country.
In addition to leading chemical engineering design activities, Matt has been involved in design automa-tion and design process improvement activities. He has published technical articles on both engineer-ing design and also on the optimization of the design process.
Matt is a graduate of Rice University and now enjoys judging the undergraduate design contest that challenged him as a student.
