Pre-dinner Energy Forum (4:00-6:00)
"Decarbonizing the Process Industries III" (PDH Credit)
Decarbonization has become an ESG (environmental, social and governance) priority for the process industries. Energy efficiency is an important component in any decarbonization strategy, but many other technologies have a part to play, too. In our Spring Energy Forum, with the help of industry leaders and subject matter experts, we focus on use of electric motors as a key component of electrification, and carbon capture in two different types of processes – ethylene production and power generation.
About the Speakers
Market Development Manager, Synchronous Motors, North America, ABB, Inc.
Topic: Using large electric motor technology to help industry move toward greater decarbonization.
Director Ethylene Technology (Houston), Technip Energies
Topic: Overview of CO2 Capture Methods in the Petrochemical and Refining Industry.
David Lewicki, PE
Program Director – NET Power Commercial Projects, McDermott
Topic: NETPOWER – the Allam-Fetvedt Cycle – Generate power with no CO2 emissions.
