About the New Orleans Local Section
Founded in 1932 - The New Orleans Local Section is the 3rd oldest in the Institute.
Serving Gulf Coast Chemical Engineers "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler" - "Let the Good Times Roll"!
The chemical industry is vital to the economic health and wellbeing of Louisiana and chemical engineers play an essential role in this endeavor. By joining the local section of AIChE you will gain an excellent opportunity to network with representatives from local industry and universities to make a positive impact on the greater New Orleans community.
Annual dues are currently US $0.

Section Awards:
1995 “Randall D. Sheeline Award”, for excellence in public relations activities.
1999 “Catalyst Grassroots Award”, for support of the grassroots advocacy program.
2001 “Marx Isaac’s Award”, for excellence of a small local section newsletter.
