During the September 17, 2020 Zoom meeting of the Fellows Council, the following were discussed:
- New FC members for 2021-3 were voted by acclimation: Lori McDowell, Nick Urbanski, Bill Parrish
- Fellows Gathering at the virtual Annual Meeting in November:
- Similar format to August gGathering, not combined with AIChE Annual Business Meeting
- Breakout subjects to be about Fellow volunteering opportunities
- Programs in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
- WG folded into Task Force
- Fello interests in EDI from Breakout survey: YP, MAC, Students, subcommittee to follow up
- Fellow Admissions
- New nomination form with clearer instructions
- Confidential rubric revision
- FC committed to submitting nominations with a subcommittee to emphasize international nominees
- Fellows Endowment progressing and all FC members encouraged to donate
During the November 4, 2020 Zoom meeting, the following were discussed:
- Fellows Gathering at the 2020 AIChE Virtual Annual Meeting
- Breakout rooms and FC assignments
- Update from the AIChE Task Force on EDI
- More publicity and guidance needed for all AIChE entities about Fellow nominations
- Subcommittee proposed to work on materials to improve publicity and guidance on nominations.
- Fellows Endowment has seen many donors associated with Virtual Fellows Gathering registrations
