Booming US oil exports spell trouble for OPEC's balancing act

As US crude gains ground in Asia, some OPEC nations could be compelled to increase output to protect their market share in the region, jeopardizing OPEC's production cut deal that helped oil prices climb over 40% since June, according to Dutch bank ING Groep. ING forecast that Brent crude prices will fall to $57 per barrel in the second half of the year.

North American oil, gas IPOs poised to surge in 2018

The market for North American oil and natural gas initial public offerings could see the highest level of activity in four years in 2018, fueled by a better price environment and improved earnings. Among the more than 12 companies planning to go public are Covey Park Energy, Indigo Natural Resources and Vine Resources, according to sources.

Ryan: Congress will not raise the gasoline tax

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said Congress is "not going to raise gas taxes" to fund an infrastructure package when he spoke during a telephone town hall last week. The gasoline tax has remained the same for 25 years.
