Japan's Takeda considering Shire takeover 

Japan's Takeda Pharmaceutical said it is in the "preliminary and exploratory stage" and may make a bid of up to $50 billion to acquire Shire. The acquisition could heighten Takeda's role in developing drugs for cancer, as well as gastrointestinal and neurological diseases.

Fujifilm to expand development of biopharmaceuticals with acquisitions
