A plaque and $500.00 will be presented to the recipient. The recipient will also receive a ticket to the CRE Division Dinner at the AIChE Annual Meeting.

Nomination Instructions

Nomination packages should include an AIChE Division Award Nomination Form including an award citation, a 2-page (maximum) double spaced nomination statement, a 2-page CV, and three supporting letters.  Submit the nomination by April 03, 2020, via e-mail to Randall Meyer, e-mail: randall.j.meyer@exxonmobil.com

CRE Travel Awards

The awards consist of $145:  $95 to cover early graduate student registration and a $50 credit towards AIChE grad student membership renewal

PresentationThe awards are presented annually for the AIChE Annual Meeting. The nomination for this award should be made by the student’s research advisor. Each advisor may nominate only one student. Only members of the CRE Division may nominate students. Students may win this award only once during the course of their graduate studies.
Nomination Instructions
  1.  The presentation abstract
  2.  A two page resume, highlighting the student's accomplishments, including the student's Grade Point Average (GPA) and AIChE Member Number
  3. A single page recommendation letter from the faculty advisor

Factors that would play a role in the section criteria include – presentations given by the students, quality of the abstract, record of publication, detailed recommendation letters specifically highlighting the scholarship and ability of the student to communicate their findings to a scientific audience.

The nomination material must be sent electronically by email as a single PDF file titled LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME CRE TRAVEL AWARD 2020 (where LASTNAME and FIRSTNAME should refer to the applicant’s name) to the 2nd vice chair of the division to Michael P. Harold, Email:  MPHarold@central.uh.edu

The Catalysis and Reaction Engineering Division will make up to 20 meeting grant awards to assist graduate students with their 2020 Virtual AIChE Annual Meeting registration expenses so that they can attend the AIChE Annual meeting and present the results of their research.

The AIChE Catalysis and Reaction Engineering (CRE) Division presents an award to the best poster presented in each of the division's primary technical areas. Participants are judged at the CRE Division poster session of the AIChE annual meeting. Awards are open to all participants.
