Eric van Steen

Eric van Steen obtained his 1st degree from the Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands) with a MSc-thesis describing the characterization of ageing of stationary phases for RP-HPLC using NMR and his PhD from the Technische Universität Karlsruhe (Germany) with a thesis on the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. He came to South Africa in 1994 as a post-doctoral fellow and joined the staff in the department of Chemical Engineering at UCT as a senior lecturer in 1995. Dhruv Arora

Dr. Dhruv Arorahas assumed the role of Research & Development and Technology Manager at Shell Qatar Research and Technology Center (QSRTC). Under his stewardship, the center is planning to continue R&D efforts in catalyst, water, corrosion and CO2 utilization, and initiate new research projects aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.Read more

Jose Maria Ponce Ortega

Dr. José María Ponce-Ortega got his Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Technology of Celaya in Mexico in 2009 and 2003. He stayed as a postdoctoral researcher at Texas A&M University from 2011 to visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University from 2006 to 2007. Dr. Ponce-Ortega is full professor at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo since 2012 until today, and he is member of the National Research System of Mexico (SNI II).
