Steven R. Schmid, Ph.D., P.E., FASME, FSME

Steven R. Schmid received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology; Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees at Northwestern University; was a professor for over 25 years at the University of Notre Dame, and is currently the Belk-Woodward Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  He conducts research and teaches courses in the general fields of manufacturing, metal forming, tribology, and design. Briardo Llorente

Briardo is a CSIRO Synthetic Biology Future Science Fellow at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and an Associate Investigator of the Australian Research Council Center of Excellence in Synthetic Biology.
